There used to be days
days of full canvases
canvases filled with colour
colours of the wind and sun and air.

The ever changing skies
skies changing from light to dark
dark to light the earth turns in a flicker of days
days of joy, of hurt, of love and thunder.

the keyboard white on black,
our piano remains untouched
just as you left it.
a Beethoven sonata

one string vibrating
imaginations country
presentandfuture

our words tumble, parchment burns, ashes fly.
crumpled paper bins over flow, shredders on the go
so we scribble, dabble, scrabble.

sunlight cracks yellow
sea quenched sinks
pistachio greens leaves wet
citrus lemon rain
...

These disparate things of eye, nose, mouth and eye
blue tails feathers fly, a wrinkle of time,
the parrot cries longing for her forest home
green on green on green
