A Canary's Song

Once I was trapped in a cage and made to thought
What can I do to break free and how to sought
I was so lonely and alone
My humming didn’t had a tone

Wearing a melancholy face all day long
I kept on singing my weeping song
I craved for a wonder to happen
I dreamt, By God, that I had been taken

The cage of gold in which I was held
I was like a cat which had been belled
I swung on that destined diamond swing
Just cursing what wonders will God bring

I never chose my life as this to be
It was my fate which made me slave from free
I was forced to dash down my memory
I cherish those moments when I was a free canary

I used to fly pass the rainbow
And was always a delight for crows
Ah! What days were those?
I even remember myself sleeping in a hose

The winds have changed now and, for me, doom is set
Rate of my tears had left my cage wet
Someday, yes someday, I believe, that I will be sold
I hope, by that time I’m not too old

I still plead to God for a miracle
Only for my hope I remain un-hustled
The whip of time and fate have crossed my back
I am sure; I will be, sold for a gold sack

I pray that my buyer will set me free
As to him, God himself, will tell what I ought to be
I know chances of this happening are very rare
So, on this cursed swing I cry my prayer
