Ashlee Norwood Poems

Pain encircles the perimeter,
No comfort to show defense,
Fall in the arms of my baby sitter,
I haven't been happier since.

I am suspicious, but kind.
I wonder why people can be so blind.
I hear the closing of an ominous door.
I see a person come out of it bored.

A Waking Nightmare

Pain encircles the perimeter,
No comfort to show defense,
Fall in the arms of my baby sitter,
I haven't been happier since.

Abomination, rage, and sadness,
No one should ever feel,
Only happens in this world of madness,
Someone should notice this big deal.

Floating past birds and swinging on vines,
I know there could be nothing better.
Waking up and hearing my whines,
Going back to sleep would be very clever.

Most people wake up from a nightmare feeling cool relief,
I wake up into a nightmare wishing I was still asleep.
