Public Pain

There were maps on your wall
Like Jefferson had -
A tack on the dreams
You had with me.

Now I'm on a billboard
In Times Square -
For the world to read,
You posted me there-

A public place
For my heart to bleed.

Read the full of Public Pain

Cinder walls
And cold steel bars.
Upon black
Upon gray.
A leaky ceiling
Blocking the stars,
And here I sit
After day.
A permanent perch
On a branch from Hell
Too Repugnant to envision.
I am cemented
Wishing it was all
Good and well.
This place
Is a prison.
