Bedecking With Events
Bedecking with events
Whose shadow trails again in the mind-yard
The hopes planted by me rustle with a start
I, in two minds, gather courage to illumine
shivering body-lights in this dark temple ruin
Grass swishes, dry leaves fly in the wind
Soul peeps from eyes, nothing to be seen
Just a voice of some distant traveller says
Nothing happens here, give up fancy ways
Obsessed are you for bedecking your soul
With a fresco of events going on in a roll
Give up, go, expand in all hearts breathing
Satiate the existence by being everything
All happenings in time, their timeless wonder
Cross it! Carry your trembling flame yonder ''..
Quietened then was the hurricane of thought.
Inner equilibrium was restored somewhat.
Consciousness was ablaze swiftly so sweetly
A strain of cosmic song reverberated in me..
Bharati..
I've now read several of your poems. Each was wonderful. You are a fine poet.
