Last night I went on a carnival ride
And you were there by my side
As it flew towards the sky
...
When I stare at a blank page
I see wprds leap out
They are so filled with rage
That it makes me want to shout
...
She lives in darkness
And wears pain like a cape
Most people don't see
Through the fake air of happiness
...
I'm a medium sized town girl who has just gone through parents divorcing, a time of depression, and my first true love is still happening. I think that puts me in a great spot to write and don't worry I may be young and a girl but I can take the critism that comes with this business. I write books to and if you're interested I can put you on an emailing list for my newest (unpublished) book Gun Smoke.)
Carnival Ride
Last night I went on a carnival ride
And you were there by my side
As it flew towards the sky
I let out a content sigh
When you asked what was wrong
I uttered nothing and you took my hand holding it strong
Afterwords we shared something sweet
That was far from your biggest feat
Like when you won that teddy bear
Covered in fuzzy pink hair
But when I leaned in for a hug
I landed face first on the rug
For as realistic as it did seem
It was nothing but a dream
