Brenda D. Priest Poems

You have worked my son thru all these years.
You have felt the pain and sorrow,
But now my son your work is done,
And you can rest for the rest of your tomorrows.
...

In my time of sorrow and pain.
I cry my tears in vain,
For death follows me.
I know in my heart I do not walk alone.
...

You sent me a white rose when we met.
For the white rose stood for a love pure and true.
But the petals of the rose has turned grey and fallen
Like your love for me

My Son

You have worked my son thru all these years.
You have felt the pain and sorrow,
But now my son your work is done,
And you can rest for the rest of your tomorrows.
Thru all the years your love and faith has never faltered,
In me you believed with no doubt.
When it's night look up at the stars.
There you will see my eyes watching over you.
The twinkle in my eyes my son is the pride I have for you.
For you have done what so many have not.
You have been true to me, and when the time comes my son.
I will bring you home to me, and as you kneel before me.
Your crown of jewels will be free,
This is the gift I give to you for loving me.
With love your heavenly father....
