When we were kids, we used to run through the trees all day.
You would complain because all my hair would blow in your way.

You led me to a barren field and said hey, let's play

But how do I sleep
When insomnia is forever etched into my mind
Waiting in a neat little box for you to come find
But you will not like what is inside.

The Best Poem Of Breonna Mitchell

What You've Done

When we were kids, we used to run through the trees all day.
You would complain because all my hair would blow in your way.

You led me to a barren field and said hey, let's play
Even though our mothers said it was dangerous to be there this day

The day turned to years of running through the field
because you ran away

I cut off my blue hair in hopes that you would've stayed

But the barren field was already frozen with snow.

You tried to come and save me, but it was already too late.
The snow had already barrier me and I suffered all alone

Now I hold you hold you because I don't like to see you cry
but my dearest best friend I still wonder why
what have I done to deserve
This and why does it make you cry

For in that barren field that day that turned to year
I died alone while you were at home wondering what you've done
