Insomnia With Sad Eyes… Poem by Breonna Mitchell

Insomnia With Sad Eyes…

But how do I sleep
When insomnia is forever etched into my mind
Waiting in a neat little box for you to come find
But you will not like what is inside.
You will not like what I have to hide
You have no idea what you see
When you look into my
North Sea, dark brown, sad eyes
That are gleaming with plea
Because in reality they have trapped me
And they are holding me too tightly
The pain behind then you cannot see
The dangerous demons in my eyes
Will surely make you bleed
And I am so sorry it had to be me.
Because I too with I could be freed.
