Casualty of Chaos

Casualty of Chaos Poems

I walked among the crowded thorns.
I stood too close and bled.
I fought the devil with his own horns,
And I saw myself lay dead.
...

Casualty of Chaos Biography

I'm 26 years old and have been writing since I was 12. I started writing because it was something I enjoyed doing and was a great way to express myself without letting everyone else in on my business. I usually don't let anyone read my poems, but this looks like an interesting site. Feel free to give me feedback... good or bad. I'm not trying to be a writer. I've never taken any sort of poetry or writing classes and have read very few poems by famous poets. So, I apologize ahead of time if I don't understand the technical terms you may use.)

My Mistake

I walked among the crowded thorns.
I stood too close and bled.
I fought the devil with his own horns,
And I saw myself lay dead.

What was my name? Whom could I inquire?
I was so shamed; my soul.. so tired.

I ran into some darkened thoughts,
some hatred that was tucked away.
I did not survive the war I fought.
I could not fight another day.

Who had I become? Where had I gone?
I was lost somehow. What had I done?

I stopped and looked at where I stood,
no new direction left for me to take.
I would change it all, if only I could,
but that is why it is called my mistake.
