Today, I saw a damsel, a visage bright as the moon, though I must confess, I considered her brighter than the moon. I recall her endearing eyes, how they tempted my heart to spill its secrets in a crowd where eyes and ears stood agape.
We barely were an inch apart, and so I struggled between stealing a glimpse of the moon's light and concealing my act from her precious sight. Two quick glimpses I dared, but by the third, I was caught. Who knows what penance the moon will demand?
