The Light Is Fading

The walls are pressing harder,
the darkness closing in.
I can't seem to find my way,
will I ever win?
The maze is getting tougher,
dead ends at every bend.
Did I hear a voice call out to me,
or was that just the wind?
I can't find my way now,
blinded throught the storm.
The bitter cold biting at my cheeks,
will I ever get warm?
All I need is someone to reach out,
someone to care.
Someone to help me,
through this scare.
But no one is listening to the cry
of the hopeless every night.
Everyone seems blinded,
and I'm out of sight.
I can't take the dark anymore,
it's too much for my soul.
Someone come find me,
before I'm too deep in this hole.
