Les casuarinas

Habituées au bruit de leurs branches,
au battement d'aile des oiseaux,
au bec qui transperce l'écorce
à la poursuite d'un ver,
les casuarinas ne peuvent pas croire
que cette autre bête, la rivière, descende en silence.
Elles pensent plutôt qu'elles sont un peu sourdes
et elles se penchent pour mieux écouter
et souvent cette erreur les perd.

und bleibt mit dem Bauch nach oben, betrunken,
an seine Dahlie geklammert.
