Daniel Shumkin Poems

Everything is wrapped in white snow
Skies are embellished by silver stars
I am looking through the window and I know
Mother winter has come to visit us.
...

Sweet little angel, why are you crying?
Why do your eyes give me rain?
My soul is turning to shred and dying
As I hear your voice colored in pain
...

It is important to breathe, eat, and sleep to live
Also, equally it is important to believe-
Tell yourself some good words and compliments
You won't loose hope and confidence.

A Winter Poem

Everything is wrapped in white snow
Skies are embellished by silver stars
I am looking through the window and I know
Mother winter has come to visit us.

Outside there are children playing and sledding
Swan of frost is hugging us in his wings
Father lilac sky, like in angels' wedding
Wearing crystal necklaces and diamond rings

These are small and unique moments of magic and whispers of Amour
Please do not fly away …
Mother Winter, you are painting my life in water colors-pink and azure
My life, which once was smeared in autumnal gray.
