Sweet Little Angel - Poem by Daniel Shumkin

Sweet little angel, why are you crying?
Why do your eyes give me rain?
My soul is turning to shred and dying
As I hear your voice colored in pain

Come to me and I will hug you, warming your heart
Strawberry roses will flourish at once
Your smile will shine as a piece of art
Making my soul sing and dance
