Joy that I may not bear;
The web is full of her frescoes –
Our Lady’s, everywhere.

Mother, you gave me precious birth
Of life, with soul and earthly mirth,
That helped me see God’s grandeur – earth,
Heralding heaven’s way, far worth;

How well children conduct themselves
With innocence and candour much!
Although they try to ape adults,
They do most things in ways unique.

Four years ago, today,
Our mother passed away!
She had a sudden death,
Performing well since birth.
...

A girl-child walks along railroad;
Someone has hurt her feelings much;
Her mind is anguished by some word;
She needs a fairy-mother’s touch!
...

Just heal me by mere talk;
Do sit beside me, Doc;
My heart-aches, I must tell;
Spend time to make me well.
...

Even a bud, man can’t unfold
With ease like how God does at dawn;
Nothing on earth is in man’s hold:
God is the King and man, a pawn!
...

So far so good, things have been fine;
Years have flown, and I did well;
May be, I could have been better;
I dunno what's in store for me!
...

What use is a rose-bush without thorns,
For God gave thorns by changing leaves,
And protecting flowers beauteous
From predators, and plucking hands!

You can become a saint as well,
If you can live for Christ;
Declared, you can be saint on earth,
If you can die, for Him.
