I saw him looking so Alone
I looked at my friends,
They looked at me with Disgust
I gathered my courage
...
“I don’t love you” the words dropp me to my knees
Throbbing fills my chest and I want the stinging to ease
I feel your relief you’re glad its not you
It’s a pain that you would never want to go through
...
Alone By The Naked Tree
I saw him looking so Alone
I looked at my friends,
They looked at me with Disgust
I gathered my courage
I got up and thought, 'I Must'
I walked over to him
And it felt like a Mile
But I sat with him
I forced a kind Smile
My friends never came too
They just glared at me
And mouthed 'We're Through'
My eyes stung with pain
But I would not go back
I continued to stay
I did not shout or Moan.
We decided to hang Out
We had so much fun
We got to know each other Well
We laughed and we joked Around
We had become good friends
And when he needed someone
I was sure to be there
I always caught him when he Fell
And all that time they glared at me...
I realized they couldn't be my true friends
They spread hurtful lies
But I didn't make a Sound
I'd stay with him until the very End
I would never betray him
I would always be his Friend
We would always be together without a Doubt.
But then one day he looked at Me
And I looked at him
He said an earnest 'Goodbye'
And then he walked away.
I looked towards the Sky
And let it all sink in
He went with them;
The ones who now hated me
The ones I had left.
I called out his Name
But he gave no response
He never looked at me
He never Came.
I stood still, looking at them
Walk away from me
I was alone by the naked tree.
