I have been strong for far too long.
I have grown sick of feeling wrong.
The words stuck on the tip of my tongue.
They are not new, they have once been sung.

I will sow
As the world warms
And my seeds disperse.

Yet Lived A Corpse

I have been strong for far too long.
I have grown sick of feeling wrong.
The words stuck on the tip of my tongue.
They are not new, they have once been sung.

I lose my way each day I wake.
I smile so they don't know I ache.
Staying firm with each step I take.
My hidden tears could form a lake.

I check again the strings I'll lace.
I seek heaven, a blissful place.
When night falls, I shall find solace.
As the fading light gleams on my face.

I doubt my death will be a loss.
I was alive, yet lived a corpse.
Bearing the pain that was my cross.
Truly, depression is poisonous.
