When you laid those foundations, it was hope coming alive,
But now the building seems abandoned and forgotten.
Seems the contractor stopped paying, or the landlord went solo.
...
Deep in mine heart, a steadfast hope doth stay,
A fire unquenched, though time may chide and test.
Mine eyes deceive, yet still I seek the way,
For fate's cruel hand oft turns truth to jest.
...
I love thee to the twinkle of night's bright stars,
To the mountain's peak,
Where the sun smooches the sky.
...
Their arm of sacrifice was a shield,
A fortress where our hearts are healed.
Their time, their efforts, pure and true,
A love that glows in golden hue.

To My Architect
When you laid those foundations, it was hope coming alive,
But now the building seems abandoned and forgotten.
Seems the contractor stopped paying, or the landlord went solo.
Now the building stands like an old fairytale house,
Birds of the air and creeping things make it their dwelling.
But I have this faith in you, dear Architect—
Whatever you touch feels renewed again.
Would you love to be the architect in my own space?
I miss you so dearly.
This whole place feels empty without you.
I fill the void within me,
Seems like you're gone to a faraway land.
I keep all these feelings to myself,
I don't want to let you down.
I don't hold any hurt toward you,
Neither am I lusting against you.
If there were words swift enough to quantify the love of a pure soul,
If there were songs to sing to the one I yearn for,
Every time I'm all alone, all I see and think of is you.
If I could change things, I'd make you mine.
I think I lost sight of myself in this serendipity,
Things within my reach, I can't grasp,
Things beyond my reach, I yearn to hold.
Most times, I think of doing the craziest things with you—
Those things I imagine are far beyond me,
Like having a warm and heartfelt kiss, not minding the boundary.
I just want to have all of YOU.
If my heart could open, or if you could read my mind,
You'd know I have a genuine love for you.
Words have failed me to express myself.
I know a vacuum exists inside of me,
But I know someday I'll fill it up.
You don't need to reply now if you can't—
I'll just be here until you stop by.
I miss you, dear Architect.
