Let Me Say How I Love Thee Poem by Felicity Ojochogwu Ogbe

Let Me Say How I Love Thee

I love thee to the twinkle of night's bright stars,
To the mountain's peak,
Where the sun smooches the sky.

I love thee to the depths
Of the vast, unyielding ocean,
To the summit of my heart,
Where emotions drown me whole.

My heart shifts from frost to fire,
A burning zeal entwined with
Passionate desire.
My mind is captive to an aura
Of endless allure.

Oh, my love is like a painting,
Brushed with royal shades—
A glowing warmth that lingers,
Banishing the void of emptiness.

I love thee like the lilies
In the hush of the sanctuary,
Like butterflies gliding
O'er morning's nectar-kissed bloom.

I love thee like the flowing waters
Of the spring,
Like the joy in a goblet of fresh wine,
Filling me with bliss,
With an ecstasy that knows no end.

My love is the fountain of life,
The breath my soul requires.
And as dusk awaits the birth of dawn,
So hath my heart learned to love thee.
