Felix Philipp Ingold (* 25. July 1942 in Basel ) is a Swiss Slawist Culture publicist, writer, translator and publisher . He is Emeritus Professor of Social and Cultural History of Russia at the University of St. Gallen. After the matriculation (Realgymnasium Basel, 1960), Felix Philipp Ingold graduated from Phoebus Publishers. From 1961 he studied history, art history, philosophy and theology of the Eastern Church at the University of Basel . He was on external staff at Swiss Radio DRS in Culture Centre Basel and wrote for the Basler Nachrichten and the National-Zeitung.)

In the beginning was
the word for a berth. Farther
from the name
and still indistinguishable
from the stench - spirit
as movement! - of nature.
Close to the puzzle,
which is
a solution. The grinding
of a continent, one or another.
The rumbling of the sea.
The throbbing where
the blood comes from. Where
the Yes!-body appears. And,
like in a fairy-tale...
The mirror on the wall.
And rage. Beauty in the eye
of a bystander.
