My Broken Heart
Lying here, hour after hour, urging for the suffering to make its absence
Thoughts and visions plague my mind until it’s unbearable
Hoping, pleading that it will somehow go away or I will forget
But how can you run from what’s in mind? What’s in your soul?
A guess the answer is you can’t!
How can you be cured when the pain’s cause is your cure?
The only other option is time, time that I do not have
Time that will be spent wallowing in the past
How so much I would love to hate the cause of the pain
When I am in pain because I love it so
Although my selfish needs want the pain to stop
Would I really want that at the expense of others happiness?
Maybe one day I will be able to be happy
But until that moment arrives and is welcomed by my heart
I shall count every day, every minute, every second a blessing
And be thankful for the things that conspired
For as long as my heart beats until the end off my days
I will always
