Bitter Love Poem by Felix Walne

Bitter Love

Bitterness, only matures with time
Resentment, a feeling that bitterness resides with
Anger, an emotion that can flourish from resentment
A man can do and say the most terrible when angry
Rationality, something that can die when blinded by anger
Blinded and angry from the ever so bitter truth

In each others presence, I know that flame still burns
The little things, your fingering running through my hair,
They betray what lies buried in your loving heart
Confusion, for that you want it dead
You say it has past, like stale bread
But yet you still want to be mine

Why can I not write about anything but you?
Tell me you don’t love me
Tell me we aren’t meant to be
Tell the BITTER truth
And set me FREE
