my lungs draw air
and i suffocate
my heart beats
and the noise terrifies
my mind shouts
and will not quiet
my soul expired
my body a prison
i live in an impossible place

i am an actor
i am a liar
i am a madman
i am me
no longer
i care
no more
i waste away in an impossible place

i am tired
i am restless
i am dead
i am alive
i am at peace
i am forever at war
i am
in an impossible place

I walk a tightrope
with no end
i cannot stay
i cannot leave
tell me
how to be
in an impossible place
