An Impossible Place Poem by Franzi Frank

An Impossible Place

Rating: 5.0

my lungs draw air
and i suffocate
my heart beats
and the noise terrifies
my mind shouts
and will not quiet
my soul expired
my body a prison
i live in an impossible place

i am an actor
i am a liar
i am a madman
i am me
no longer
i care
no more
i waste away in an impossible place

i am tired
i am restless
i am dead
i am alive
i am at peace
i am forever at war
i am
in an impossible place

I walk a tightrope
with no end
i cannot stay
i cannot leave
tell me
how to be
in an impossible place

I walk a tightrope with no end i cannot stay i cannot leave tell me how to be in an impossible place you have expressed the terrible confusion of the mind and of the thoughts.... and helplessness. your ability to articulate what is inside is marvelloous dear poet. thank u. tony God bless u. i hope it is not real. poets can imagine and present situations.......

Your poem describes a scary place. Excellent writing. I gave it a 10.
