Gabriel Burnes Poems

Sunshine settles in your hair, your smile lights up your face.
I love the way you move hips as you go from place to place.
You're playfully delightful, so beautiful and kind.
There's a sparkle in your eyes today, with mischief on your mind.

Forbidden Love

My happiness soars but my sadness prevails, for there is something wonderful in my life that is untenable; something forbidden; but something beautiful!
And I have fallen in love with that forbidden beauty; now my longing distracts me and my thoughts run wild with ridiculous notions of fanciful dreams.
She is breathtaking, tender, and extraordinary; her touch is a sensation to the soul; her smile, a summer's kiss upon a winter's scene. So indelible upon my mind, the memory of her resounds when the clouds of melancholy return.
Yet, without her, I am but a shadow for I am unremarkable... and lost!
