Gabrielle Cummings Poems

They are always there, and when every thing goes,
No life on earth, will they still stand?
Nothing seems everlasting, no lasting name or way.
But shadows are always standing strong.
...

A rock flying in the sky,
falling down,
down to earth.

Under my bed he hides.
Dark as a shadow,
but pale as the moon.
Tall and Brooding he comes out.
...

I am not the scars on my wrist, made by the blade in my pocket,
or black clothing that i put on my back.
I am not a person to run from, no need to be scared.
I am not a hateful person, I'm not sad.

Shadow Everlasting

They are always there, and when every thing goes,
No life on earth, will they still stand?
Nothing seems everlasting, no lasting name or way.
But shadows are always standing strong.

Ghosts of the past, present, future.
What was, What is, What will be.
Shadows are dark, Splendid, and Steadfast.
They will not fail nor fall.
They are Ever changing, but ultimately, they are one.

Walking the road that never ends, thats what shadows do.
But for us one day our road stops, you would think us no more.
Yet you are wrong.
For we Became a shadow of the past, a part of this silent everlasting memory.
