Dear God
god saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be;
so he put his arm around you and whispered ' come with me '
with tearful eyes we saw you, watched you pass away
even though we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay
so your heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest
god broke her hearts to prove to us, that he only takes the best.

Its when nobody calls you names
its when you don't look around corners
its when you walk without fear of another set of footsteps walking behind you.
its when shadows are just the absence of light and not the absence of security.
its when words don't have teeth
smiles dont have daggers
and the twinkle in their eyes aren't filled with hatred
its when you dare, just once to be happy.
