Dear God Poem by gemma carter

Dear God

god saw you were getting tired and a cure was not to be;
so he put his arm around you and whispered ' come with me '
with tearful eyes we saw you, watched you pass away
even though we loved you dearly, we couldn't make you stay
so your heart stopped beating, hard working hands at rest
god broke her hearts to prove to us, that he only takes the best.

A very powerful piece of wriing Gemma and one which shows the extent of your humanity and love for others - this is a subject that I write about a great deal myself and so found this to be so beautifully sad! Neil.
