Icicles creating fringe on the eaves troughs
Snowcapped hills beckoning youngsters,
"Get your sleds, come, have fun,"
Snowmen standing tall,
Though his brow is deeply furrowed
by the ravages of time,
His manner is as flawless
as when he was in his prime.
I have a friend who lives far away
but through the mail we seem to say,
things each other likes to hear,
what we've been doing throughout the year. "Do you remember . . . ?" this,
As the elder years approach
And we're ready to retire,
Let's get a new lease on life
As the old one is about to expire.
