Gerard O'Rourke Poems

The day is over,
The sun casts it falling shadow on the land.
I feel the warmness and we hold each others hand,
And feel the loving as we start to kiss,
...

One day with hands deep in my pockets
and head bent to the ground.
Just blowing softly in the wind
20 Euro's what I found.

Love Dream, Night And Day.

The day is over,
The sun casts it falling shadow on the land.
I feel the warmness and we hold each others hand,
And feel the loving as we start to kiss,
But wake up from a dream
And cry about the things that I have missed.

Why did I meet you?
The burden of the world lays on my shoulder.
The Summer air it makes me shiver
And seem so much colder.
I could cry and tears would wash away the pain,
Oh, that's not true,
I'd stop and know that I would only feel the same.

The day begins,
And with it starts another lonely chaptor.
Will it be tears, or for a change,
Be full of jokes and laughter? .
I will try to reason,
And say the world can't be so cruel.
But, until I can,
I, will live in dream.
And always be your fool.
