Comments about Gol McAdam
This rhyming gives me so much grief
Like something rapping in the head,
And what I would say can’t be said:
The metre beggars all belief.
Is it that I should start afresh
With something else? Yes, that might do.
New style and meaning could ring true
If rhyme and rhythm would enmesh.
Yet still the clumsiest words remain
And won’t come right try as I may.
This poem is dead they seem to say,
Begin again, again, again.
