Scattered laughter
Clumps of people
White lines
Pedestrians

Tally the times it grows, unlike a rose
No scent, just the lingering of a pest
Submerging inside your chest.
One would suggest that seduction is sprouting

It Could've Been

I know you're angry, I know you're upset
I know your world seems torn and perplexed
I know there's a side I'd never want to meet
But I know there's kindness left it's buried underneath
Have you thought, have you considered
What it could be, the thought that made you not so free?

It could've been your childhood
It could've been one word
It could've been a piece of neglect
that made you feel misunderstood
Wondering if you'll ever fit into a puzzle
It could've been those bullies that cornered you
It only takes a couple
Bruised your skin, let your face hit the rubble
But you didn't tell nobody.
Whats a voice when you can't speak
What is silence when the mind is loud
It could've been a liar's streak
That made you feel closed
From broken trust
Forgiveness seems impossible
It eats away at you
Like salt does to rust
In your head I hear you say
Why me? Why me?
I'm a victim and I didn't even do anything!

It could've been that touch, the one you never asked for
And it left you like a frightened little bird,
Felt stolen, a shattered worth
Cut and swollen
It could've been a little lie
That crept inside your fragile mind
Twisted the beauty of truth
And re-wrote the positive into negative
Took away the light rays,
Gave you blue days to live in
It could've been an offence
Rage, rage, rage,
a temper that never fades.
Veins erupt like a fire pit
you can't control it.
You never wanted to burn within
But those memories melt away your skin

Consumed by belief you doubt and wonder
What the cause is for all your intentions
Why you deeply crave much attention
Your thoughts bleed
Under a closed wound
And your heart yearns for freedom soon
It's hard not to be sensitive,
See people as a threat, take things personally
Blood boils internally,
Shame comes along with fear and regret
So you blame your name
Centred from hate
Self punishment repeats itself
A torture to think you deserve nothing else.
It's wrong.
And I'm sorry
I know you never asked for it. I know.
One day, you'll see hopefully,
that it's your story.

Hannah Rose Priman Quotes

Remaining diligent is better than losing patience in times of desperation.

Be careful when you become an open book, you never know who will rip your pages out.

Keep your light on, you never know whose lost in the dark.
