Japan Poem by Hannah Rose Priman

Japan

Scattered laughter
Clumps of people
White lines
Pedestrians
Walking through
Heat of day
Passing trains
Sleepy eyes
Cradled briefcases
Half smiles
Screeching brakes
Tv screens
City scenes
Cherry trees
Bonsai leaves
Curved roofs
Bamboo shoots
Barely tea
Rice fields
Vending machines
Photo booths
Bicycle baskets
Metropolitan
Parks nearby
Ramen slurp
Karaoke
Hi-chews
Sushi rolls
Noodle bowls
Kitty cafes
High buildings
Pretty fans
Mountain hills
River streams
Smoggy skyline
And blue ice cream
I'll always love this place
Called Japan
