hassan dawut Poems

We have not cuddled with it,
we have not taken vows with it,
we have not climbed mountains with it,
we have not had beer with it.
...

Cold sky drives me out
I decadently trample the withered leaves
And say to the bare trees:
My days are meaningful
...

He found out my diffuse
Just like Galileo found out
that two balls drop simultaneously
in fact, I know your dark past
...

Misty morning,
The cold gets warm inside me and slips away
The sunlight flashes through like a sparrow
The lake miscounts the stones in it
...

She's dancing in the moonlight
He sees her as a swan
But he is a crow
So he leaves
...

I turned the light on to prove my existence
Then reach out my head from the window
All black
Every place, every human looked the same
...

Dust covered sycamore leaves are hugging in the grassland
Neatly grown trees are mocking my breath
What's the point of throwing stones into the frozen lake?
I know
...

Familiar smell hits my nose
Yes!
It's a potato lying in the ash
Im cleaning the clean corridor
...

I put myself in my pocket
Now I don't worry about getting lost
Anxious fingers can't break my relief
I remain calm as a tied dog in the dark
...

Swallow

We have not cuddled with it,
we have not taken vows with it,
we have not climbed mountains with it,
we have not had beer with it.

without it we will not die
when it's late we are not worried
we cannot differ its cry or smile
we do not know who it likes

but one thing is certain
we believe undoubtfully
that it shall be back next spring
