Helen S B Poems

1.

Like a rose lone in the rain,
like a candle flame in the storm,
I stand right here still safe in your arms.
There are no more fears or tears,
...

The color of a flower

The twitter of a swallow
...

Broken beyond hope
Drifting all alone
In this river of life
That flows from you.
...

Waiting…
to wake up to a dawn
that will bring me my own,
so far, across the waters;
...

Warring against a storm
On and on I roam
Mustering the shedding might,
to see through the darkest night
...

Faith is frozen
Hope is fading
Yet why these ears
strain for a sound?
...

Dropping down day by day,
drowsy leaves fall by the way.
Master’s crafts lay in frost,
gazing dim across the woe.

You

Like a rose lone in the rain,
like a candle flame in the storm,
I stand right here still safe in your arms.
There are no more fears or tears,
in your grace.

Through the mist and the test,
from the ditch and devil’s niche,
when dreary this world loses its way,
forever safe in thee I stay,

Life’s unfair woes laden souls,
compromise bids to the evil owls.
They lurk in the dark where eyes are blind,
where hearts are hurt and souls stained.

O how I wish this world will know,
that indeed are you the one, they lo.
The one, one needs in emptiness,
when pain erupts or lies hidden.
You hate sin yet love the sinner;
separates chaff from the wheat.

You renew the shamed,
and heal the harmed.
Forgiving the repenting guilty,
removes condemnation and pity.

When my ground breaks you hold me,
from the tempest you hide me,
through the stormy waves of the ocean you find me,
whenever I call upon thee, Jesus, you answer me.
