To say the least his needs are small
He is at his wife's beck and call
She does not allow him to go to the pub
Or to socialize at the football club.

Since she is the precious jewel of his life
The jealous husband possessive of his wife
She is thirty years and he is thirty one
With a seven year old daughter and a five year old son

He has no taste for alcohol not even a light beer
And she says that he should be named the husband of the year
He changes the baby's nappy and cooks the evening tea
And she feels very happy to have one good as he.

If you can't have a good laugh you're in trouble
You've got to see the brighter side of life
Perhaps if John did not always feel so serious
He may well still be living with his estranged wife

I see her often though not every day
Though to me she doesn't have a word to say
On her appearance she seems to take great pride
And her golden retriever is always at her side.
