ian adams Poems

it was around the midnight hour
when everyone is asleep
i heard the fairies voices
the pattering of their feet
...

laughter rings out
with cold desire
no smile will touch their eyes
and footsteps l hear
...

beside a little pond i sat
a green frog on a lily spied
saw me staring into the pond
hopped and sat down by my side
...

The chimes of the clock strike twelve
the old man breathes a sigh
stares distantly into the flickering flames
with sad and gentle eyes
...

Years disappear amidst lifes flow
nature bequeath a tender sigh
destinys course a golden diadem
flows pensive with lifes tide
...

little boy when you rest
my soul in waves of joy
dance and quiver from my heart
that here within this feeling starts
...

From out of the depths
of this nightmare i dream
a low wail of anguish
reached my ears
...

9.

the wind moans
trees are moved
a leaf falls
to the ground
...

Broken hearts today iam selling
for those who wish to buy
or a tale of woe iam telling
to bring a tear to the eye

The Fairies

it was around the midnight hour
when everyone is asleep
i heard the fairies voices
the pattering of their feet

they look over little children
through the dark and majestic night
where they sit upon their bedsteads
until the morning light

then they all creep silently away
their morning work is done
they fly home to their fairyland
beyond the morning sun
