I hide my treasure out by the dragon fruit
down the road where nobody goes
Wrapped in paper
...
Dreamed about a house just now
I know it wasn't real

All Southern California, all the time - almost. San Diego (Pacific Beach) , Carpinteria, and Santa Barbara are my hometowns. Feeling old now at 68. Profile photo is ancient. The poems here are from a lifetime near the ocean, camera nearby most of the time. Very few of my poems have been published until now - December of 2017. I don't know if website references are allowed in these profiles, but a search for jwmarshpoems will turn up a few more bits. Thanks for visiting here. Please comment)

I hide my treasure out by the dragon fruit
down the road where nobody goes
Wrapped in paper
laced with razors,
fire ants and poisonous toads
