My kitty doesn’t come in today
She’s cold
And old
And she stays outside

Where do the raindrops go when they leave the sky?
And where do these people go?
I do not know
As they trickle through crevices of streets

Slowly the ticking waves crash
and roll
In tune with the sand comes the echoing toll
Mechanically striking so lifeless
...

When spring fades with the trees
Amid the fading green
The earth's old throat dries up
And leaves not one sheer breeze
...

At the end of a vertical horizon
there is a place I've seen in songs
Where the colors of my feelings
dance in fragrant fields of blue
...

He says hello but I just say goodbye
That's not the way that it's supposed to go
So I keep listening to lovesongs lie
