Yearning

The clear night sky reveals
the lustrous shining moon,
making my heart
yearn for you. I look up
and wonder if
you looked at the same moon too.

Then I remember
how far you are
from me,
yet
you feel so close. My mind
never stops
thinking
about you
each day, in which I am
reminded that
my today was your yesterday.

Thus then I weep
for the sorrow of forever
being behind you,
and never
being with you.
Dry tears fall
from my eyes
as I speak to you, but
do not hear
your voice nor you
mine.
I wonder then
if those tears too fall
from you.

The shadow of hope fades away
with each passing day. Blank promises
made when we fade. The only thing
left are our words that I see
at night and you see
at day.

I love you,
that is as clear as the night
sky with the lustrous shining moon. And my hope
is that your sky
is as clear as mine
with the warm gleaming sun.
To make blank promises once again
vivid and to hear one another's voice
before we start.
