I love you for
the bright blue eyes
that lock the gaze
of passing skies

that kiss away

I love you for
the sturdy hands
that help and lead
in times of none

I love you for
the warm embrace
that your arms give
in loving grace

your hips and feet
that run the mile
and rest defeat

I love you for
the laughs and smiles
that conquer all
the gloomy whiles
