Flattery is such a subtle trait,
It can storm any space with a gentle gait.
Ah! It has survived the sweep of time,
And, defied epochs to reach its prime.

Trump-Ed In This Wobbly War

Two world wars still archived in our memory
Yet we're numbed with a third no less gory.

The first two wars bared the face of brute power
And the third rages in the spirit of men who glower.

No arms, no bombs, no imperialist ambition
This war bows to economic subjugation.

Why scramble to amass your forces?
When nations spar over Nature's resources.

Nations freed, trade freed, ideas not caged
Wonder why we have curbs to dread.

Behold, there's a new face of globalisation
The old champion rewrites the rules of domination.

Two trade titans come to a head over a tiff
Economies and businesses sink in a war of tariff.

Barbs fly as nations wrestle with full might
Hapless citizens are swirled by fright.

A hegemon knows no limits to his frenzy
He rolls on, impervious to people's tizzy.

Why stir your opponent's cauldron?
Look within; your pot lacks fire to melt on.

This war will not let people exterminate
They'll suffer mute with a regime so effete.

First, you blur boundaries with free trade
Then, shackle it with your vain tirade.

Men crossing borders don't stir your growth saddle
Still you have queer reasons and scores to settle.

The embers on the other end are smouldering
Beware, the Dragon is savagely roaring.

Regimes have axes plenty to grind
The humble citizen is caught in a double bind.

The heart sighs if there's an end to this nuisance
Cold war is history but frigid eyes look askance.

How long will inane ideas assail?
Let the will of free spirit prevail.

Trade wars are easy to win
Still none to erase the scars of sin.

(Ends)
