At any moment in this lifetime,
There’s a tragedy ahead.
We don’t know where each path will lead,
In mere seconds, we could be dead.

I remember when boys meant yuck
And friendships were new.
Our dreams were not shattered,
Our worries were few.
...
I love my Mom,
She’s very neat.
We have lots of fun times,
And she always tickles my feet.
...
I swear I’ve seen your face today,
In the glitter of the newly-risen sun.
And then I heard the jaybird say,
“Their work on earth is done.”
...
I think the time has come to move on.
Not quite, but just about.
It would be nice to have it like it used to be,
But it’s time to face the music and just

A girl and a boy,
They were the best of friends.
Elementary to high school,
Beginning to end.

'Though I chose death instead of pointless pain,
please forgive the manner of my leaving.
My love and need for all of you remain.

My life’s been filled with sorrows and fears
And always with those retched tears.
But now it all seems to be falling apart.
You rushed into my life and when you left, you broke my heart.

At any moment in this lifetime,
There’s a tragedy ahead.
We don’t know where each path will lead,
In mere seconds, we could be dead.
There’ll be surprises around every corner,
And of course there’ll be wrong turns and dead-ends.
Data won’t help us in the future,
It merely tells us where we’ve been.
With so many people around you,
There will be no certainty.
All it will take is just one person,
To redirect history.
We must live each day like it’s our last;
We mustn’t stop and ask ourselves “why? ”
Do whatever your heart desires,
And in your dreams, reach toward the sky.
Don’t waste one single instant,
Valuable that they are.
But most of all, though it may seem far off,
It may not be all that far.
