Jessica Sanukab Poems

I'm feeling inspired to write something new
something so wonderous it takes me so few
to venture off into the land of beautiful discourse
only to be found again by the silence known as golden
...

Faces, faces everywhere
Looking for the truth anywhere
Searching for an answer
Eaten by this cancer
...

What would you like to hear?
A sonnet of truth or a burden of fear?
Let me help you with you those ropes
They'll be sure to dash your hopes
...

Oh to laugh at the utterance that has become my oldest friend
and watch them pass before my eyes
to see their bitter end
...

There is not an explanation
...

How long O God must I pass the days away?
When am I able to come home?
When will I leave this wretched place
And sing my eternal song?
...

When will my spirit finally win
And my flesh bend
To Your will O God and not my own
My God my Savior my Friend
...

Search me O God
for You know my ways
You know what I am prone to do
...

I was walking along a path one day
when as I looked ahead
I saw two gates each one distinct
but wondered which was the way
...

The seasons of our lives are changing
And people come and go
The storms, the trials, the never ending temptations
Seem to toss us to and fro
...

Do not write your story here
For I will surely not read it
Do not tell me your favorite things
For I am sure I will hate it
...

The way I feel
The pain's too much
I know this can't be real
Yet I'm reminded of the way you feel
...

Jessica Sanukab Biography

I was born to an unwed 20 year old woman in the 1980's. My father left before I was born. I credit my love of the arts to my mother who raised me to appreciate the beauty in this world. As for my gift in understanding pain and suffering and my ability to transpose the emotions in such an eloquent manner, I credit my father. If not for him leaving, I might have never suffered.)

Homily

I'm feeling inspired to write something new
something so wonderous it takes me so few
to venture off into the land of beautiful discourse
only to be found again by the silence known as golden

To me this makes perfect sense
but to you maybe not rightfully so
simply because this limerick isn't about you
it really is not about me
but 'tis truly about homily
