I'll narrate our story in a Shakespearean way
I am not allowed to love you
‘Coz sooner than later, I'll be leaving you.
I'll just keep it, till my last breath.

He might not give me flowers,
Yet when I'm sick and in pain
He'll bring me medicine.

Waiting For The Knight

There was a brown butterfly
Who got fascinated by the lamp's light
Her yellow light got him mesmerized
He flew back and forth to test her warmth

As he flapped his wings
The lamp's light turned to orange
Brown butterfly finds it so entertaining
Little did he knew, the Lamp was hardly breathing

He draws near and felt her warmness
The closer he gets, the swifter he flaps
Naïve and dumb, he ignored the lamp's emotion
Pleasure seemed to be his ultimate goal.

The lamp is catching her breath
But Brown butterfly still wants to be amused
He doesn't care how she felt.
How heartless, he does not have a sense of guilt.

The lamp is now out of fuel
There's no reason for him to stay further
He has no heart, feels nothing -he is so cruel.
He turned and left the lamp to find another.

During eclipse, the lamp stood still.
Playing the shadows in her nightmare
Suddenly, the rain drops in her nozzle
Pouring water into her chamber

Her silver crown turns to rust
Losing grip in her glass
Which should define her class,
Oh! Pity on her! She is now a piece of trash.

In that silent lawn
She is just alone
Catching light from the crescent moon
And only moist can make her moan

While she was dancing with the twilight
She saw a tiny sparkling light
She sensed fear, as it got closer to her.
It could be a friend, it could be a danger.

But it was just a bug with bio-luminescence
Now resting in her circumference
She is studying the lamp's pattern
Moving gently, assuring the lamp's safety

As the bug moved around
She finally found -something grand
A passage was right in front of her
At last! She found a home out of nowhere.

She was now a star!
A star of the lamp's stormy night
In that grassy, quiet lawn
The lamp is her home.

Though the lamp lost her shine, the bug came and makes her bright
With them together, there's no more lonely night
It's a proof that at the end of the tunnel, there's always a light.
At that very moment, the bug is the lamp's brave knight.
