But her tone was bitter,
The clothes that she wore,
They did not fit her.

The smile on her face and the warmth from her fingers,
And glistening over us the summer night lingers,
And watching the stars shine above our heads,
As the cool, green grass supplies our beds.

A tear, a tear could not mourn for it,
A heart, my heart could never feel it,
An eye can’t see it, even if you saw it.

If jealousy and hate could hide,
And stop humility’s endless suffer,
And through green eyes love could bide,
Remain through the patches rougher.

One cold winter’s evening I sat with fame and wealth,
Listening to the small talk and thinking to myself,
There were many disagreements at the table at which I was seated,
But they all agreed on one thing – success would you believe it.
