Absolute amatuer. A medic by trade (ex army) I enjoy words that are intricately strung together to make wonderful sentences that hang like diamond necklaces in the air like shining stars in a warm dark starry sky. My favorite wordsmiths are Thomas P. Lynch, Oscar Wilde and Shane Koyscan. all comments and suggestions welcome as I really do not know what I'm doing. When I have the time (as if anyone ever has) I should take a few lessons in structure and verse. Although I am a man, you should expect the poetry of an infant, as I am a child in this field of wordy dreams. thank you all.
Folks I know, are disappearing one by one.
They turn to gold in their autumn years
Wise on life's lessons
unable to avoid the inevitable.
...
YOU ARE MORE WARMTH TO ME THAN THE SUN,
MORE LIGHT THAN THE MOON.
YOU GIVE ME MORE LIFE THAN AIR,
MORE NOURISHMENT THAN FOOD.

We sat opposite
and prepared to dine.
God how i wanted to make you mine.
My conscience battled wrong versus right,
...
'Let's drink a toast, to love', she giggled,
then drank the full glass
with a thirst that was hunger.
Her mouth more red and richer for it.
