I can still feel the warmth of the distant sun
I emerge with the tranquil, dawning day

Elated and passionate
I cast my play
Exhilarated, my heart springs open with your entrance
But your face halts my leap

Slumped and sinking
Deep into nothing
Flightless bird
I watch as you struggle

I can not forget the image
of looking into your eyes
Trying to see what stirs behind them

Fantasy is for believers
To keep the dream alive
A form of hope
Unrealistic, but palatable

Reflections
Should be seen more often
than during a life crisis
Denying yourself the full spectrum

I stand in the shadows
Afraid to step out
The sun is so uninviting
The fear of it's pentetrating rays overwhelm me

I lay awake
in anticipation
Excitement
Fear

There are billions of people in this world
Yet most of us feel so alone
