Russian Roulette

I know I said I'd jump in front of a gun for you,
But here I am aiming it at myself.
Because I can't live my life being your number two,
While I watch you love someone else.

If I pull this trigger it will end it all,
And I'll have made the decision for you.
You warned me that in love it's dangerous to fall,
So instead it was hoops that I jumped through.

I'd give anything to be your everything,
Instead you gave yourself to her.
I'm tired of always settling,
That's why I left one in the chamber.

We can play a game of Russian Roulette,
I know it will make your heart race.
I've come to terms with biting a bullet,
But are you willing to test your fate?

I'll be your partner in this world of crime,
We can end it all together.
I'm ready to chase this little light of mine,
Into our happily ever after.

As you pull the trigger and hold your breath,
I realize what I've done.
You hand me the gun because you passed the test,
But you're scared of what's to come.

I smile and make silly comments,
About being exactly where I want to be.
I know deep down this is what you wanted,
You just didn't know how to tell me.

I point the gun towards my head,
And smile at you one last time.
I pull the trigger expecting to be dead,
But there I sat still alive.

We looked in each other's eyes,
Neither of us blinking.
In the moment I was mesmerized,
But I knew what you were thinking.

I pulled the trigger again,
In hopes of fulfilling my wish.
In my journey of life this is the end,
I just hope she loves you like I did.
